Over the past 13 years, I've had experience in design, photography, and education.  I have worked with learners from 5 different continents, from differing socio-economic backgrounds, in different settings, differing age groups and with various abilities. I can create learning objectives and design based on reaching business goals. My passion is to make learning engaging and interesting by using gamification elements and including stories and scenarios, while also effectively teaching new skills and methods. I am a lifelong learner, and I love to create courses on just about anything. 

I studied Art and Design at Texas State University and earned my Masters of Education at The University of Texas - Arlington. I  have experience teaching adults and children in various roles and settings. I was an elementary educator for 12 years, where I worked with children and led several professional developments for my peers. I was in several leadership roles, and really loved creating courses to help other's improve in their practice. I have been designing courses for the past 8 years based on learning outcomes and data. 

In January of 2021, I took on a role as an instructional design intern with Sententia Gamification. I designed anything and everything for them, including eBooks, Slide decks, Handouts, websites, logos, advertisements, and much more. I earned a Gamification certification and my Instructional Design certification through IDOL courses. Since then, I have worked with several companies to develop courses including: Integral Business, DevelopHer, Flying Cloud Solutions and Promobile. For me, Instructional design is the perfect marriage of my two passions: education and design. I'm so thrilled to be on this adventure!
